The career of Simone Anzani kicks off in 2008 with the debut in the youth of the Sisley Volley in Treviso, a company in which he remains also in the following season, playing the B2 series championship, getting in 2010/11 also the call for the first team in the A1 series.

From 2011 to 2013 he plays in the A2 Series championship, first with Loreto Volleyball and then with Argos Volley in Sora. In 2013 he received his first call-up in the National Under 21 team with which he won the gold medal at the XVII Mediterranean Games with the National team.

In 2013/14 he arrived in A1 Series at the Blu Volley Verona, wearing this shirt for four seasons. With the Verona-based company he won the 2015/16 Challenge Cup.

With the national team he won the bronze medal at the World League 2014 and at the 2015 European Championships, while he won the silver medal at the 2015 World Cup.

During the 2017/18 season he defends the colors of Sir Safety Perugia, company with which he wins the Italian Super Cup 2017, the Italian Cup 2018 and the Scudetto.

From the 2018/19 season he wears the Modena Volley shirt winning the 2018 Italian Super Cup.
