At the beginning of the set, it was clearly visible on the court who is the favourite of this encounter. Leo Shoes MODENA gained six-point advantage already at 10-4. Knack ROESELARE tried their best to get closer to the opponents, with solid serve and great team efforts they scored five in a row and not only caught up, but stepped up front at 20-19. After hard fought they got two chances to close the set on their favour at 24-22, but both they were denied. With Micah Christenson on serve MODENA got their chance, but with third opportunity ROESELARE attained victory in first set.
The second set was very levelled in the early stage, but from 10-10 MODENA jumped to 19-13. Then, again the hosts Knack ROESELARE scored four consecutive points. Andrea Giani's squad improved their game quickly learning their lesson from the previous set, thus closing the second set 25-19.
Leo Shoes MODENA started third part better from 7-4 lead, but quickly it was completely erased and a point-by-point race started again. The hosts broke away with three points to 20-17 that eventually let them to get set win. Hendrik Tuerlinckx again spread his wings and with Matthijs Verhanneman they scored 6 points apiece.
Knack ROESELARE, feeling the upcoming chance, kept the level of their game high. With their backs against the wall, MODENA tried their best to keep pace with the hosts, but they were a step ahead. Smart setting solutions from Micah Christenson paid off with tie at 18-18. ROESELARE didn't handle this pressure well committing several errors in decisive part.
Tie-break was a tight battle on absolutely high level from the very beginning. From 8-8, two ROESELARE spikes - from Desmet and Tuerlincks - went in out. MODENA used this opportunity improving the score to 13-9, to eventually win the game at 15-11.
MODENA remain unbeaten on top of Pool D with three wins and eight points, while Knack ROESELARE stay winless with one point from this game.

Tutti i ragazzi stanno lavorando forte e abbiamo tanta fiducia, quella che ti viene da riuscire a fare in partita quello che provi in allenamento"
