The career of Denys Kaliberda begins in the youth teams of two German companies based in Berlin, the first Charlottenburg and the Olympia Berlin.
The debut in the Bundesliga takes place in the 2006/07 season with the shirt of Olympia Berlin, which leaves in the 2009/10 season to arrive at the Unterhaching: in three years wins two consecutive national cups. In 2008 he was called in the German Under 20 team for the European category championship, where he won the silver medal.
He subsequently joined the senior national team, with whom he won the European League 2009 gold medal, took part in the 2010 World Championship held in Italy, reaching the eighth place and winning the bronze medal at the 2014 World Championship. In 2012 he won the silver medal at the Memorial Hubert Wagner.
In the 2012/13 season he debuted in the Italian league, where he was registered for the Callipo of Vibo Valentia and the following year for the Piacenza Volleyball, with which he won the Italian Cup. In the 2014/15 season he was hired by Jastrzębski Węgiel, a team competing in the Polish PlusLiga and won the gold medal at the European Games.
He returns to Italy in the 2015/16 season, defending the colors of Sir Safety Perugia, while the following year he will wear the Civitanova shirt, the club with which he wins the Italian Cup and the Championship.
At the 2017 European Championship he reaches an excellent silver medal with the German national team.
In 2017/18 he moved to Turkey, before returning to Superlega wearing the Modena Volley shirt for the 2018/19 season. With the Gialloblù company wins the Italian Super Cup 2018.
